How To: Make an Offer on a Listing
Eiffel Trading customers know the basics of buying and selling using our online marketplace. Now that users are able to create (and offer to fulfill) wanted listings on their own, we wanted to show you how to make an offer on an item already for sale in our online marketplace.
Eiffel Trading’s buyers and sellers represent major construction companies, such as ENR Top 400 companies, rental companies, dealers, brokers, and suppliers. Our marketplace’s always-online presence helps buyers ensure that they are able to find the items they need at great prices, any time of day.
Here are the new step-by-step instructions for making an offer on any of our for-sale listings using our online marketplace.
Viewing Listings
Use the navigation bar across the top of our site to directly visit a specific category. Hover over one of the headings to see a menu of the most popular items in that category. From that menu, users can also create a new listing, view reduced price items, or create a wanted listing. Users can also click on any of the headings to view all items in that category. For instance, clicking Construction Material will bring up all listings in that category, regardless of item type.
Sort by Material Type, Location, or Price
Use the menu on the left-hand side of the screen to filter listings by type, location, or price. Listings in material or equipment categories are further broken up by type, size, etc., to help make searches as narrow as possible.
Find a Desired Listing
On the listing page of any item, there is a large, green MAKE AN OFFER button. More information about the item for sale, including the quantity available and a detailed description, is available below the image(s) on the left-hand side of the screen. From this page, you can also request an inspection or a free freight quote.
To begin the offer process, click MAKE AN OFFER. If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to do so. It is 100% free to create an account, and Eiffel Trading will never sell or distribute your information to anyone else.
Basic Information
Fill out the form (shown blank below). Use the comment section to tell us what you’re looking for. Include as much information as possible.
Please note that the yellow MAKE A NEW OFFER button will only appear after all required fields have been filled in.
Receive Confirmation of Receipt
Once your form has been successfully submitted, you will see a confirmation note:
Congratulations! Your request has been sent. Our representatives will reach out to you as soon as possible to confirm all of the details and present your offer to the Seller. From there, Eiffel Trading will help you and the Seller negotiate pricing and work out the details.
Please note that once the Seller accepts an offer, the Buyer and Seller are entered into a contract to complete the purchase. The item will be closed to new offers.
